Taylor Swift showered some extra strong praise on her drenched Swifites who danced fearlessly in the rain at a recent concert.
Currently on the European leg of her Eras Tour, the billionaire pop queen expressed her gratitude to fans on Sunday, June 2. They kept dancing in the rain during her performance at the Groupama Stadium in Lyon, France, which she deeply appreciated.
“So it looks like we have officially had a rain show tonight, this is a rain show for sure,” Taylor purred to the soaked Swifites in footage shared by a fan account on X. “That is set, that is permanent because it doesn’t matter if it rains again, it really did rain during this show.”
“You guys are absolute champions and heroes for dancing even harder when it started raining,” Swift added. “I saw that,” she said as her minions cried out.
Taylor Swift Flaunted Her French as Rain Drenched Her and Fans
The singer expressed her gratitude to her overseas fans, acknowledging their warm welcome despite her limited touring in Europe. Swift then noticed someone in the audience and inquired if they needed assistance.
The singer, speaking in French, requested assistance. Switching back to her native tongue, she added, “Yeah we have to take care of these crowds because you’re just the best and you just dance so wildly and sing so loudly.”
Taylor then began to tickle the ivory of the piano she sat at. She continued to lavish praise on her devoted followers. “I never could have imagined we would have this much fun on the European tour,” Swift said. “It’s just been crazy, you guys and I appreciate so much.”
Swift also celebrated Pride Month during the show, greeting the crowd with “Happy Pride Month, Lyon,” as she performed “You Need to Calm Down.” The stage lit up with rainbow colors, creating a vibrant spectacle while fans waved their arms in unison to the 2019 hit.
Swift performed another show in Lyon on Monday, June 3, before traveling to the U.K. for a series of concerts in England, Scotland, Wales, and Dublin, Ireland.
The rain is just another example of what fans have affectionally dubbed the “Errors Tour.” Recently in Stockholm, Sweden, Taylor’s top suffered a wardrobe malfunction, necessitating a stage hand to assist her.
Back in February, the “So High School” crooner had to rebound after wiping out on stage in Tokyo.
