Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Kelly Ripa turned on the sweet and sour routine for her husband and co-host Mark Consuelos‘s return to Live with Kelly and Mark. She criticized her husband for not paying enough attention to her.
Andy Cohen has been co-hosting the show while Consuelos has been absent. Consuelos has been in Italy where he has been supporting his Campobasso FC soccer club. He came back energetic and excited about the football club.
He explained their accomplishments on the show.
“We thought we would clinch and do something that hasn’t been done in over a hundred years there, you know, get promoted two years in a row,” he shared, “and we tied. And the team that’s chasing us won. Yeah, so we were up four points. Now we’re up only two points with two games to go.”
Consuelos says it’s been a “rollercoaster of emotions.” Consuelos explained that the club has increased from 150 fans to a packed stadium of fans in only the past year. It’s something he’s proud of.
“Look at that,” he gushed. “I think we had 6,000 people there in the stadium. They’re so excited. It means a lot to a city, to the people, and to a whole region. Football is life.”
Kelly Ripa Takes Jab at Husband
In response, Ripa says she’s proud of him, but Consuelos sensed danger, saying, “Let’s not get too proud yet.” And he was right. Ripa ended up ripping him for not paying enough attention to her.
She said he showed “endless amount” of dedication. Just not to her. “In my next life, I want to be a footballer on a soccer club that my husband owns because… I’ve been trying to get him to look at my blood work from my doctor’s appointment for three months,” she said playfully.
Consuelos joked that he was “looking at somebody else’s blood work.”
Ripa continued, “I always say to him, ‘Hey, can you take a look at my numbers because I want to make sure that the good number’s going in the right direction and the bad number’s going in the other. I want all the numbers to be right, but I am not a footballer for his club, so I am at the bottom of the pile!”
Consuelos promised to put her “right back on top of the pile.” But then he quickly added, “After the season.”
