In a tit-for-tat legal battle, Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s estranged husband responded with his own restraining order. This is mere days after she filed her own restraining order against her beleaguered spouse.
People reports that court records show Ryan Scott Anderson, 37, obtained a restraining order against Blanchard, 32, on Thursday, April 11.
Blanchard filed for a restraining order on Monday, April 8, coinciding with the day she initiated divorce proceedings. This move came less than two years after their marriage in a modest prison ceremony on July 21, 2022, in Livingston County, Missouri. The couple had physically parted ways on March 25 and had been living separately ever since.
Gypsy Rose Blanchard is pursuing both temporary and permanent alimony, attributing the marriage’s dissolution to his actions, and proposes that her husband should not receive any financial support. The decision will be made in court on May 23, 2023.
In July 2022, the couple exchanged vows at a Missouri prison, where Blanchard was serving a 10-year sentence for orchestrating the murder of her mother, Clauddine ‘DeeDee’ Blanchard, in 2015.
Blanchard was allegedly forced by her mother, Dee Dee, to appear as a gravely ill child. She underwent unnecessary medical treatments for non-existent conditions like leukemia and muscular dystrophy. Dee Dee exploited her at charity events and fundraisers to garner sympathy and funds for the fabricated illnesses.
In 2015, Blanchard convinced her online boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn, to murder her controlling mother in their Springfield, Missouri home by stabbing her to death. For his part in the murder, Nicholas Godejohn is serving a life sentence.Gypsy Rose’s Estranged Husband Feels Her Ongoing Relationship with Her Ex-Fiance is Problematic
Meanwhile, the dueling restraining orders come after Anderson claimed the separation was due to Gypsy Rose’s relationship with her ex-fiancé Ken Urker. “I’m not doing well with it,” he recently told The Daily Mail. “For me, it just came out of the blue. I had no idea she still had such strong feelings for him.”
Blanchard left her husband and their Lake Charles home over three weeks ago, returning to her family’s house in Cut Off, Louisiana, a three-hour drive away.
“People have been asking what is going on in my life,” Blanchard wrote on her private Facebook account in March. “Unfortunately my husband and I are going through a separation and I moved in with my parents home down the bayou. I have the support of my family and friends to help guide me through this. I am learning to listen to my heart. Right now I need time to let myself find… who I am,” Blanchard added.
Of course, Blanchard’s supposed platonic friend and former fiance Urker visited her almost immediately. The duo visited Big Easy tourist districts and got matching husky tattoos.
