First Michael Strahan, now Robin Roberts—here’s why these favorite Good Morning America hosts were absent from the show.
Michael Strahan and Robin Roberts went missing from Good Morning America on Monday. As reported by The U.S. Sun, only George Stephanopoulos was left as a regular host. Stephanopoulos was accompanied by two fill-ins.
Host Juju Chang filled in for Strahan, while Linsey Davis took over Roberts’ normal spot. The newscast went on as usual—the hosts did not bother to acknowledge Strahan and Roberts’ apparent absence.
‘GMA’ Hosts Michael Strahan And Robin Roberts Drop Clues To Their Whereabouts
Roberts left a hint about her potential Monday absence in a Friday, November 24, Instagram post.
The morning show host went on a second honeymoon with her wife, Amber Laign. The couple simultaneously celebrated Roberts’ birthday on the trip.
On Instagram, Roberts shared a clip of a monkey climbing down a tree.
“It’s a jungle out there!” she captioned the post. “The adventure continues with honeymoon #2 #fridayvibes.”
While it is possible Roberts missed Monday’s episode of GMA due to her honeymoon, she did not specify when she would be returning from her trip or coming back on the show.
Michael Strahan typically misses Monday tapings of GMA due to appearing on Fox NFL Sundays. Fox NFL films in California, while GMA films in New York.
