This incident reportedly began in the Santa Monica area. While the initial reason for the police officers’ attempt to pull the woman over remains unclear, it soon became evident that she was not going to stop. As she continued driving, additional units were called in to apprehend her.
Eventually, Fox 11 Los Angeles interrupted their early morning show to air live footage of the chase. At one point, it entered the busy 405 freeway, with more news choppers joining in.
The LAPD attempted to stop the woman using pit maneuvers, but none halted her trusty large white van. She skillfully evaded the officers and thwarted their on-road strategies.
Eventually, the woman made her final stand with a U-turn on the freeway and driving against traffic. She continued down the deserted road, heading into oncoming vehicles that were halted as authorities worked to secure the area due to the imminent danger.
Naturally, she reached the stationary cars and collided head-on with a sedan. She then bounced and crashed into a semi-truck behind it and struck several other vehicles along the way.

At that moment, police officers surrounded the woman. She leaped out of her van and climbed onto the truck’s hood. Blood and grime covered her haggard face.
She was ultimately apprehended and placed in handcuffs.
A man driving a silver sedan was struck head-on by an erratic driver and remained trapped in his vehicle until officers broke the window to rescue him, according to the station’s report.
David Hill, another crash victim, reported that the suspect’s vehicle was wedged against the driver’s side of his black Volkswagen Golf GTI.
“When that van came to a stop, I wasn’t sure who was inside, what they were going to do, if they were going to come out and try to steal my car,” Hill recalled to Fox News 11. “So, I immediately got out of my car and came to the shoulder and just waited while police apprehended that suspect.”
Crash victims were triaged at the scene and did not require hospitalization. According to video footage, the suspect was taken into custody and then placed in an ambulance. She appeared to have sustained head injuries.
