According to NBC 4 New York, the incident occurred at Red Horse in Rumson, New Jersey last week. While dining at the restaurant, a man identified as 75-year-old David Gulley of Palm Beach Shores, Florida, lost his cool after wine was spilled on another diner’s wife, leading him to pull the steak knife.
The fellow female diner initially tried to stop the fight before it started, stating it was an accident. To which the diner responded, “An accident is why there’s wine all over her back.”
After that, things turned chaotic.
“What is that? You got a knife in your hand?” the fellow diner asked Gulley as he lunged forward.
Other patrons quickly stepped in to stop Gulley and break up the fight. The diner managed to grab Gulley’s wrist and yell, “Call the f—ing cops.”
The entire ordeal was caught on video.
The media outlet further reported that police officers who appeared on the scene stated they saw Gulley punch a manager amid the restaurant brawl.
Amid the fight, the fellow diner injured his hand. He did not seek medical attention afterward.
Meanwhile, Gulley is facing multiple charges, including aggravated assault, possession of a weapon, terroristic threats, and disorderly conduct. After being arrested, he was issued a summons. He was also released from police custody.
