Nicolas Cage’s eldest son, Weston Cage, is reportedly sought for questioning following an incident at his mother’s residence. Weston, aged 33, has been identified as a suspect in a battery case concerning his mother, Christina Fulton, per TMZ.
The outlet has reported that investigators are seeking to interview him regarding a reported altercation on April 28 in the Los Angeles area.
A verbal altercation between the mother and her son allegedly escalated into a physical confrontation. Emergency services were summoned to the residence to assess Fulton’s condition; however, she opted not to be transported to the hospital.
It appears Fulton may have gotten a nasty shiner in the exchange. Images allegedly of the incident’s aftermath found their way to X (formerly Twitter).
Investigators report that Weston had left before the police reached the scene, leaving it to law enforcement to decide whether to classify the incident as felony battery. It is alleged by sources that Fulton was attempting to comfort her son, who was facing emotional challenges.
She has denied any claims of an argument between them and has requested privacy regarding the issue.
TMZ shared photos of the actress-turned-skincare mogul with a black eye and fading bruises, seen putting coins into a parking meter on Sunday. She met a friend there and shared a hug.
Nicolas Cage’s Son Weston as a History of Mental Health Issues
Weston has a history of mental health treatment. In 2011, following a violent episode in Los Angeles, he was placed under psychiatric care.
Nicolas Cage began dating Fulton in 1988 and they welcomed Weston in 1990. The couple parted ways within a year after Weston’s birth, never having married.
Last November, Weston Cage and Fulton, who launched a successful skincare line, sued Weston’s ex-wife Hila Arounian. They accused her of embezzling $100,000, spreading false rumors, and obtaining a ‘fraudulent restraining order’ that prevented Fulton and her family from seeing Weston’s twin girls, Venice and Cyress.
According to Page Six, Fulton claims that her former daughter-in-law influenced Weston to seek a restraining order against her in 2020. When the order was filed, neither Nicolas Cage nor Fulton had the opportunity to meet their twin granddaughters. The twins turn four in July.
Weston also shares two sons, Lucian, age nine, and Sorin, age seven, with his former wife Danielle. The couple was married from 2013 to 2016.
