On Monday, TMZ reported that Taylor Swift’s father Scott, is under investigation for assaulting a paparazzi.
“New South Wales Police Media Unit tells TMZ … cops there are investigating an alleged assault. [The assault] was reported to them on Sydney’s North Shore very early Tuesday morning local time. This after a photographer named Ben McDonald filed a complaint claiming just that,” TMZ wrote.
Now the outlet has obtained footage of the altercation. In the video, you can see Taylor and Scott walking together. Shortly after some sort of skirmish appears to break out.

Paps Got Aggressive Towards Star Before Altercation
Based on the video, it is still unclear whether Scott was one of the people involved. One of Swift’s reps spoke with TMZ about the incident involving her father. The rep revealed that as Swift and her father were approaching her vehicle, paparazzi members began to get aggressive as they got closer. They also were grabbing members of her security detail.
“A rep for Taylor told us that more than one individual was “aggressively pushing their way towards Taylor” … and claimed people were grabbing her security team, and threatening to throw a female into the water. Taylor’s camp didn’t specifically address the allegation against Scott by the photographer,” TMZ added.
“The cops in Australia note the alleged victim did not require medical treatment after the encounter with Scott. So … perhaps the whole drama will be shaken off before it turns into something more serious. McDonald doesn’t seem inclined to let this go, though. Time will tell if anything more serious comes about.”

Swift began dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce this season. And when Kansas City advanced to the Super Bowl last month, most thought it was a sure thing that she would be in Vegas. But when Swift resumed her Eras tour, travel constraints became significant.
That is what prompted college student Jack Sweeney to begin tracking her flights. And now, she is taking action against him as her team has served Sweeney with a cease and desist letter.
“While this may be a game to you, or an avenue that you hope will earn you wealth or fame, it is a life-or-death-matter for our Client,” the letter reads. “Ms. Swift has dealt with stalkers and other individuals who wish her harm since she was a teenager.”
