The two superstar actors appeared with their families at the LA premiere of the movie last week at the TCL Chinese Theater. Celebs from all forums attended to view and celebrate the fourth edition of the long-running and globally respected sequel.
Smith, Lawrence Stars Give Advice to Younger Selves
While making their rounds on the red carpet Smith and Lawrence were asked about the advice they would give their younger selves.
“I would tell him to slow down,” Smith began.
“We were looking at old pictures of ourselves… We watched a little bit of the first movie together and we didn’t realize we were in the middle of our dreams.”
Smith also noted that he and his co-star Martin Lawrence were very focused on delivering a great product when filming the first movie. But in that same breath, he wishes they would have just taken in how iconic the moment was.
“We were on the set of Bad Boys and it was like, totally oblivious to the fact that we were in an iconic moment… I would tell my younger self to slow down,” he added.
Martin Lawrence Addresses Health Concerns
Martin Lawrence addressed rumors concerning his health in an interview following the LA premiere. “I’m fine,” Lawrence, 59, simply put it during “Ebro in the Morning” on Hot 97. The response comes after the release of a widely shared video of Lawrence and co-star Will Smith interacting with fans on a bus. Many onlookers suggested that Smith appeared to be guiding an unstable Lawrence at the time.
“I’m in God’s hands, blessed. Glad to be waking up every day. I’m all good. No need for people to be concerned.”
The actor claimed he was simply shocked at the amount of people outside the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood at the time.
“I was like, oh, this is rock concert stuff,” he said during the interview. “What the hell is going on? For a movie? I was like, oh, my goodness.”
