Lenny Kravitz flaunted a serious gym flex, sporting leather pants, a sleeveless mesh shirt, and sunglasses while working out. On Tuesday, the 59-year-old musician shared a video on social media demonstrating his routine for keeping in shape.
For the record, Lenny’s showcased move is your run-of-the-mill inclined sit-up with a loaded barbell (those appear to be light bumper plates on the bar) that you press over your head at the top of the rep. That old bag.
As odd as the exercise was, what set the post apart was Kravitz’s appearance in a gym, effortlessly lifting a lightly loaded barbell dressed in a tank top paired with black leather pants. He elevated his look by donning a pair of sleek black sunglasses. He also wore dainty yellow lifting gloves, which make sense considering he’s a guitarist.
With assistance from his spotter, personal trainer Dodd Romero, who supported his ankles, he completed his set with apparent ease.
“Thank God for today! Grateful. Never been better. There are no shortcuts so seize your day. It is all possible. Love!” he wrote alongside the footage.

Lenny Kravitz is No Stranger to Unorthodox Workout Routines
However, Kravitz has been a serious fitness enthusiast for decades. His training routine, established in the late ’90s with trainer Romero in Miami, combines morning fasted cardio, daytime weightlifting, and evening cardio sessions.
“My best shape is not behind me,” Kravitz told Men’s Health back in 2020. “It’s in front of me right now. We keep moving that bar as we get older.”
During quarantine, Kravitz retreated to his Eleuthera island home in the Bahamas. To maintain his fitness, he switched to FaceTime sessions with his trainer rather than meeting in person.
For his cardio, he utilized the trails that weave through his property. Ingeniously, he repurposed a coconut tree as his weight bench. “I’m doing a complete jungle workout,” Kravitz said at the time.
