Months after it was confirmed that Channing Tatum proposed to Zoë Kravitz, Lenny Kravitz is revealing more details about the relationship he has with his future son-in-law.
During his appearance on Sherri on Thursday, March 21, the music icon declared that Tatum is a great guy. He also gets along really well with his future son-in-law.
“We hang out and we talk,” Lenny Kravitz said about Channing Tatum. Kravitz also pointed out that Tatum is a very soulful human being. “He was raised well. He has manners and class.”
Kravitz also revealed how his daughter introduced him to Tatum. He said the relationship between his Zoë and Tatum is very natural.
“Like I said, he’s very sweet and it works,” Lenny Kravitz pointed out. In regards to whether he’s planning to do a father-of-the-bride speech at the wedding, the rocker added, “Of course, that’s my daughter.”
The discussion comes less than a week after Zoë spoke highly of her father at his Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony.
“I’ve had the pleasure of knowing you for a long time,” she said. “And I must say, being your daughter has been one of the great adventures of my life.”
Lenny Kravitz Called Channing Tatum and Zoë’s Relationship ‘Something Special’
During an interview with PEOPLE earlier this year, Lenny Kravitz spoke about the relationship between his daughter Zoë and Channing Tatum.
“It feels right,” Kravitz stated about the couple. “I like [Channing] so much. [They] have something that’s naturally special. They also do the work. They are dedicated. That’s what it’s all about. It’s beautiful to watch.”
Kravitz also compared his daughter and Tatum’s relationship to his grandparents. “I remember hearing something from my grandmother at a very young age.”
“She said, ‘It’s not just that I’m in love with your grandfather, I’m dedicated to your grandfather,'” he explained. “Because sometimes you don’t feel that love, right? So then what do you do?”
Lenny Kravitz also said that when it comes to relationships, it has to be something beyond love, which is dedication. “So that is something that I see that they have. It’s wonderful to welcome him to the family.”
In regards to love in general, Kravitz declared himself a romantic. “I’ve always been a romantic, and you can still be one even if you’re not with somebody,” he added. “It’s how you live your life. I’m in love every day. When I wake up, open my eyes and can function … love is all around at all times.”
