A fellow abuse survivor opened up on X after seeing the video. “I survived 5 yrs of relentless violence by an ex. Once, he heard me praying for him, and it enraged him.”
“No prayer can change evil. I began praying to be delivered from his evil. March 29, 2021, was my day of deliverance. Plz pray for victims’ deliverance, not for evil abusers.”
Responding to the message, Chenoweth wrote, “Honestly I have my reasons for the Sean Combs video bothering me so much. The main thing I need to do is pray for him. For real.”
After being met with some criticism over her praying for Diddy remark, Kristin Chenoweth spoke out about her personal experience. “Never wanted to come out with it, but here we go,” she wrote. “Several years ago I was severely abused.”
“It took me therapy and prayer to understand I deserve better. I was deeply injured physically and spiritually. The only thing I knew to do when I got out was pray. Pray for myself. Pray for him as he grew up abused. So. there y’all go.”
Kristin Chenoweth also shared that the time she was abused was “the lowest” she’s ever been in life. “I must admit, I haven’t forgiven yet,” she added. “It’s beyond me. God is helping me through that part.”
Chenoweth is now married to singer Josh Bryant. The singer and actress was previously engaged to Marc Kudisch from 1998 to 2001. She also was in relationships with Lane Garrison, Aaron Sorkin, Seth Green, and Dana Brunetti. She did not reveal who abused her.
Diddy Apologized About the Abuse He Put His Ex Cassie Ventura Through in the Video
Kristin Chenoweth speaking out about her own abusive relationship experience occurred one day before Diddy spoke out about the video of him beating his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura.
The video was from one of the security cameras. It showed Combs beating Ventura at the now-closed InterContinental Hotel in Century, Los Angeles in March 2016.
Combs was seen wearing a towel as he charged at Ventura while she was heading to the hotel’s elevators. After approaching Ventura, Combs grabbed her by the neck and slammed her to the ground. He then kicked her numerous times before throwing objects at her.
He stopped assaulting her when someone walked off the elevators and entered the hallway.
Diddy released a video on Instagram apologizing for his actions in the video. “I take full responsibility for my actions in this video. They’re disgusting. I was disgusted then when I did it, I’m disgusted now. I went and I sought professional help.”
The now infamous famed rapper then added, “I had to ask God for his mercy and grace. I’m so sorry, but I’m committed to being a better man each and every day. I am truly sorry.”
