The “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion”-themed ball on Monday showcased a diverse array of styles on its ethereal carpet. However, it appears that the 34-year-old author, and spouse of Chris Pratt, was not particularly impressed by some of the fashion choices at the recent Met Gala.

Shriver initially shared the images on Monday, showcasing a series of photos from her evening at the then much more subdued event.
“It’s the first Monday in May and the Met Gala is underway! Things were a little more low key when I attended back in 2001, but I thought I would share some photos from that wonderful night,” Shriver wrote alongside the series of snapshots.
In the photos, the seasoned journalist wore an elegant lavender gown with a matching sheer shawl and exquisite diamond jewelry. It really is in stark contrast to the looks presented in this year’s event, which bordered on outfits at a Red Light district.
“Not only did I get to wear this beautiful dress, but I got to attend with both my parents, as well as my cousin, Caroline. What do you think: would we rock the red carpet in these same looks tonight? #metgalaflashback,” Shriver noted.
