Taking to social media, Beckinsale appeared completely transformed. She wore a Halloween costume that completely covered her. Beckinsale wore the mask of an old bald man with a white suit and bow tie. She sat in a wheelchair with her cat Willow looking very much like geriatric Dr. Evil.
She wrote, “New deal. This is all you’re getting,” she wrote in the caption. “Hope it is less triggering and more what you consider age appropriate. Sayonara b—–s.”
Beckinsale shared several images of herself in the get-up. In one image, she cradled her cat like a baby. In another, she appeared close up to the camera. Another image featured the bizarre site of a woman in a bride costume pushing Beckinsale with her legs kicked up.
In the last video, Beckinsale took a fall out of the wheelchair. The woman in the bride costume rushed to her side to check on the actor, who lay on the ground. All of it is a bit hilarious and also bizarre. It also appears that Beckinsale turned off the comments on the posts as well.
Kate Beckinsale Calles Out Cyberbullies
However, it’s a way for Beckinsale to address cyberbullying she has been experiencing. She recently got candid about it.
“I hate talking about this because I hate adding to this conversation but I’m doing it because insidious bullying of any kind over time takes a toll,” Beckinsale wrote.
“Every time I post anything — and by the way, this has been the case since I was about 30 — I am accused of having had unrecognizable surgery/using Botox using fillers/being obsessed with looking younger,” she continued, adding “and it’s really such a tiresome and subtly vicious way to bully a person.”
Beckinsale denies having any plastic surgery and asks for people to just leave her alone.
“I’m posting this knowing full well that it will have absolutely no effect. It isn’t going to stop,” she wrote. “But I’m also posting it because whatever someone looks like, accusing them constantly of things they haven’t done, or being obsessed with youth when actually, currently I’m obsessed with surviving loss, is bullying.”
“Please stop now,” she added
