While raising funds and awareness for a great cause, the Philadelphia Eagles’ center, Jason Kelce, was spotted running in the Mike’s Seafood Run Walk for Autism in New Jersey last weekend.
The event organizers took to Facebook to share a series of photos featuring Kelce running. “JASON KELCE WE LOVE YOU!” the post reads. Thanks for coming [and] supporting!”
According to Bleacher Report, Kelce finished the race at the 43-minute mark.
The charity event took place less than a week after his brother Travis and the Kansas City Chiefs won Super Bowl LVIII. The Chiefs beat the 49ers in overtime 25-22. However, Jason Kelce made headlines over wearing a Lucha Libre mask during the Chiefs Super Bowl afterparty.
“How electric was the Super Bowl after party?” Travis previously asked Jason during their New Heights podcast. “Nobody parties better than Jason Kelce. It was electric having my big brother around.”
Jason admitted the party didn’t start getting to the next level for him until he found the mask. “Cause initially when I first got there, you were trying to get me to go on the stage with you,” he explained. “And I’m like, ‘Nah, I’m gonna be over here. This is your guys’ time.’”
Travis couldn’t help but laugh at his brother’s dance moves. “The belly dance where it was just like the…” Travis laughed as he recreated the dance. “The bobbing up and down going with the motion, letting the belly take control.”
Jason Kelce Jokes About His Appearance at the 5K Race
Days after running in the race, Jason Kelce joked on X (formerly Twitter) about his appearance during the charity event.
Responding to a Fox Sports 5 tweet, which reads, “Jason Kelce ran a 5K to raise money for autism” with a video of him at the finish line, Kelce declared that “Run’” is a generous verb for what occurred. But we had a blast.”
Kelce’s followers shared their thoughts about the video. “That is an off-season lineman run if I ever seen one,” one follower commented.
Another follower added, “You’re almost too honest. If we ever meet, the first round is on me.”
Meanwhile, an X user thanked Jason Kelce for his participation in a great cause. “I have a child that is on the spectrum so this genuinely means a lot to me. Seeing people help others and bring awareness to causes is the best way to educate and the more we communicate, the less the stigma.”
