Justin and Hailey Bieber, who have been together for nearly six years, announced on social media they are expecting their first child.
In an incredibly sweet post on Instagram, Justin shared a set of photos and videos showing off Hailey’s baby bump. Although he didn’t caption the post, he simply tagged Hailey. She also posted the same video and photos.
Along with showing off the baby bump, the couple appeared to be exchanging vows in a renewal ceremony.
The announcement comes nearly a year after Hailey Bieber said she wanted children with Justin. “I literally cry about this all the time! I want kids so bad, but I get scared,” she admitted to The Sunday Times. She also pointed out that life in the spotlight makes it difficult to keep a pregnancy private.
“It’s enough that people say things about my husband or my friends,” Hailey explained. “I can’t imagine having to confront people saying things about a child. We can only do the best we can to raise them. As long as they feel loved and safe.”
Sources Previously Stated that Justin Bieber Supports Hailey Wanting to Have Children Sooner Rather Than Later
Following the interview, a source close to Justin Bieber told Us Weekly that the Baby hitmaker fully supported Hailey in wanting to have children.
“Justin completely supports Hailey and couldn’t be more proud of her after she spoke out about the reasons she wants to wait before having children,” the insider said. “It’s something they’ve spoken about with each other plenty, but she’s been through a lot this year and he would never want to pressure her into anything she doesn’t feel 100 percent comfortable moving forward with.”
The source also stated that Justin knew he and Hailey would have kids when the time was right. “But it’s a huge decision and something they both need to be on the same page about. Justin will wait for Hailey as long as she needs.”
Months after the interview with The Sunday Times, Hailey shared with GQ Hype she didn’t want to rush to make a public announcement about any pregnancies. “When there comes a day that that is true, you, you as in the internet, will be the last to know,” she stated.
Hailey Bieber seemingly addressed the recent gossip about her marriage with Justin earlier this year. After her father, Stephen Baldwin, asked for prayers for the couple, causing some speculation that there were marital problems, she cleared the air. “Just FYI the stories and constant ‘blind items’ I see on TikTok are 100% of the time wrong.”
She also said that the gossip is “made out of thin air” as well as comes from the “land of delusion.”
“So I know it may be fun feeding into these stories but just know they’re always false. Xx sorry to spoil it,” she added.
