Hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs found himself in hot water last month. The Bad Boy founder was the subject of a home raid by the FBI and Homeland Security. Combs is currently the subject of an ongoing sex trafficking investigation.
Amid the investigation, Atlanta-born rapper Gucci Mane dropped a new song referencing the situation entitled TakeDat. The video that accompanies the song also features the late New York City rapper, the Notorious B.I.G., who was also best friends with Diddy.
Gucci Mane Calls Out Diddy in New Song
“Mr. Zone 6 is kicking Diddy while he’s down with the new track, “TakeDat” … ruthlessly appropriates the Bad Boy mogul’s catchphrase, but that’s far from the biggest shot on the venomous track,” TMZ wrote.
“Gucci opens the song spewing the social media favorite slogan, “I’m just f***ing around, but No Diddy” and proceeds to use that as the hook while also making a sly reference to Diddy’s ex … “I got a young Miami b***h from the city / I’m spending money like a trick (No Diddy).”
Jay-Z Catches Stray in New Song
Gucci Mane had a plethora of shots at the hip-hop mogul in the new song. He also references Diddy’s affection for younger women. He most recently dated “City Girls” rapper Yung Miami who is 30 years old. He also previously dated famed R&B singer Cassie, who is 17 years his junior.
He also seemingly tries to implicate Jay-Z in some kind of wrongdoing. Referencing that there is a reason you have never seen him attend the famed Roc Nation brunch that takes place during the weekend of Grammy Awards.
“Interestingly enough, 50 still approved of the Diddy dump and promoted the song on his IG. Gucci also skewered Jay-Z’s shuttered Roc Nation Brunch … “Why you ain’t ever seen Wop at The Brunch? / ‘Cause they might spike the punch, man, that s**t too risky,” TMZ added.
“Gucci’s wife Keyshia Ka’Oir also makes a cameo in the vid … to recreate Diddy and Misa Hylton’s scene in the bathtub from the 1994 Notorious B.I.G. “Big Poppa” video.”
Diddy has remained pretty low-key since the raid last month. So it will be interesting to see if he responds.
