Sean “Diddy” Combs has found himself in trouble with law enforcement. On March 25th, the Bad Boy Records CEO had his home raided by the FBI and U.S. Homeland Security. The raid was due to a connection that the hip-hop mogul has to an ongoing sex trafficking investigation.

After the raid, several people began to speak out about their experiences with the once-famed but now-shamed hip-hop icon. Some people have wondered why these alleged victims have waited so long to speak out about their mistreatment.
Diddy’s Former Employees Speak Out Amid Investigation
The flurry of allegations and stories against Diddy prompted some of Combs’ former employees to speak out. The Daily Beast interviewed several former Sean John and Blue Flame employees. Employees were grilled about the culture and detailed stories of working for the Bad Boy Founder.
One former female staffer recalled an incident over creative differences at the company. When the staffer tried to respond to one of Combs’ remarks, he grabbed her face with one hand and told her to “Stick out your tongue”.
He then groped her face forcefully, repeatedly stating that he “just wanted to see” if her tongue was bleeding because she was biting it.
“There was erratic behavior, there was definitely what I would consider mental abuse, [with] how he spoke to us as employees”, another employee added.
Ex-Staffers’ Stories Consistent With Cassie’s Lawsuit
The other staffer likened the work environment to Game of Thrones. Everyone walked on eggshells, and some colleagues even threw others under the bus to stay in Combs’ good graces.
As a former employee herself, Diddy’s ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura was able to give some insight into the workplace culture created by her former flame.
The lawsuit she settled in November that alleged sex-trafficking and sexual battery, also included claims for sexual harassment, gender discrimination, and hostile work environment. Statements from the legal papers echoed statements made by employees in The Daily Beast’s interview: Loyalty to Combs without question.
Ventura’s suit also detailed occasions when she would try to escape and Combs would send employees to “lure her back. “I’m sorry that it took this long,” one ex-staffer said in response to the hotel hallway video. “I hope he gets what’s coming to him.”
