Music Mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs has found himself in legal trouble. He is a person of interest in an ongoing sex trafficking investigation. On March 25, federal agents from the United States Department of Homeland Security raided several of his homes. The locations of the homes were in Los Angeles, Miami, and New York.
But the parameters of the investigation go far beyond sex trafficking. Some of the charges are also drug-related. Combs’ alleged drug mule, Brendan Paul, was arrested at Miami International Airport on the same day his homes were raided. Paul was about to board a private jet with Diddy moments before the authorities arrived.
Diddy’s Alleged ‘Drug Mule’ Accepts Plea Deal
According to TMZ, Paul has accepted a plea deal.
“Brendan accepted the prosecutor’s offer to permit his entry into the diversion program which, after completion, the case against him will be dismissed in its entirety,” Paul’s attorney Brian Bieber tells TMZ.
Fortunately for Paul, he will avoid jail time in the case. However, TMZ notes that he will be required to complete a six-month drug diversion program.
“The rep confirms Brendan has enrolled in a drug diversion program … which should last about 6 months,” TMZ added.
“Technically, the case and charge are still pending until the course is completed — but there’ll be no jail time or probation if Brendan completes the course without issue.”
Paul Named in Separate Complaint With Mogul
Brendan’s name might sound familiar to you. That is because before the arrest he had been named in a complaint filed by former Bad Boy artist Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones. In the complaint, Jones says that he saw Diddy do “a few lines of coke.” Diddy also wanted another drug referred to as “tuci” but the defendant noted that Paul (or Brendan as the court filing reads) forgot it.
“Plaintiff and the Combs Rico Enterprise were rehearsing for ‘Something in the water festival” [sic] in Virginia,” the court filing reads.
“Plaintiff Jones personally witness [sic] Mr. Combs do a few lines of coke in his dressing room. Defendant Sean Combs wanted tuci but Brendan forgot it, so Defendant Kristina Khorram called Yung Miami. Who then brought it on the private jet from Miami.”
