Coldplay Singer Chris Martin Checks on Wounded Protester
“A man holding the Israeli flag rushed the stage at a Coldplay concert in Athens, Greece, earlier this week, forcing the sold-out show to come to an abrupt halt,” Page Six wrote.
“Frontman Chris Martin can be heard in a TikTok video from the incident repeatedly shouting “stop” into his mic to alert his bandmates to stop playing after the man tumbled over stage lights and fell to the ground.
Martin, 47, appeared concerned as he knelt at the edge of the stage to see if the concertgoer was fine.”
Bono: ‘Coldplay is Not a Rock Band’
Coldplay is one of the most well-known bands ever. They have curated hit songs such as Hymn For The Weekend, Viva La Vida, and A Sky Full of Stars. They have also won countless Grammy Awards including Best Rock Album. But despite that, Bono from the band U2 insists that Coldplay is not a rock band.
“I should mention Coldplay is not a rock band. I hope that’s obvious. There is something much more interesting going on there like the Isley Brothers or something,” Bono said.
“They should not be judged by rock rules… Rage is the river running under most rock formations. Coldplay’s music has a different source and I think it’s best revealed in this song ‘Clocks.’”
