Sports Illustrated is gearing up to release its coveted Swimsuit Issue. The list of featured models has already been revealed. One of those models? Television personality, Chrissy Teigen.
In a press release ahead of the issue Sports Illustrated’s Editor-in-Chief MJ Day said that Teigen “Represents the new generation of model moguls.”
Chrissy Teigen Gets Candid About Her Plastic Surgery
When most celebs do get surgery, they try their hardest to keep it a secret. However, on a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Teigen accidentally let the cat out of the bag.
While talking to Cohen, Teigen said that she has had three boob jobs.
“I’ve had my boobs done three times,” Teigen said. “Well, it’s the truth. I’ve had a lift, a put in, a take them out,” she revealed. “I don’t like them out.”
Plastic surgery has turned into a booming industry. Especially with the rise of content creator platforms such as OnlyFans. Even surgeons such as famed cosmetic surgeon Dr. Miami have become bigger celebrities than some of the people they do their work on. And for the really good ones. Potential clients can be on the waiting list for years.
Kate Upton Reveals Her Influences
Sports Illustrated put a unique spin on the famed Swimsuit issue this year. 2024 marks the 60th anniversary of the swimsuit issue. To commemorate this, the publication employed an additional 52 celebrities. Many of whom were previously featured in the issue.
The bit is called 60th Anniversary Legends. One of the featured models is famed cover girl Kate Upton. Upton did an interview with InStyle about her feature in the upcoming magazine. She talked about the former swimsuit models who impacted her.
“As a kid, I always looked up to the models in Sports Illustrated: Heidi Klum, Tyra Banks, Elle MacPherson, Kathy Ireland, Christie Brinkley—the list goes on,” she said.
“There’s just such iconic women in Sports Illustrated. With MJ [Day] being the editor, she’s pushed the conversation. She and I started together on such different levels that it’s like every year SI starts these huge conversations in the industry.
Whether you like them or don’t like them, they’re starting these conversations. I think that that’s really important to fashion because a lot of people play it safe in fashion, and MJ has never done that. And that’s something that I’m so happy to be aligned with for the brand.”
