Aubrey O’Day is good and done with Sean “Diddy Combs. After the now-infamous rapper apologized for his actions towards ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura in a 2016 hotel, the former Danity Kane singer unleashed.
“Diddy did not apologize to Cassie,” O’Day declared in a post on X (formerly Twitter). “He apologized to the world for seeing what he did.”
Continuing to heavily criticize Diddy and his apology, Aubrey O’Day stated, “He says he’s ‘disgusted [with] himself now, and he was disgusted [with] himself then’.. but apparently he wasn’t disgusted enough w himself to not PIN this statement out calling her a liar [and] denying all of it.”
O’Day then wrote, “Leave god and mercy out of this, they aren’t present here, and you know it.”
Aubrey O’Day also shared the statement Diddy made when Cassie Ventura filed a lawsuit against him in Nov. 2023. In her suit, Ventura accused the rapper of being abusive towards her during their on-and-off relationship.
“Enough is enough,” Diddy wrote at the time. “For the last couple of weeks, I have sat silently and watched people try to assassinate my character, destroy my reputation and my legacy.”
Diddy seemingly accused Ventura of lying in her suit. “Sickening allegations have been made against me by individuals looking for a quick payday,” he continued. “Let me be absolutely clear: I did not do any of the awful things being alleged. I will fight for my name, my family, and for the truth.”
Aubrey O’Day previously worked with Diddy, who formed her group Danity Kane on MTV’s Making the Band in 2004. The all-girl group, which consisted of O’Day, Aundria Fimbres, Wanita “D. Woods” Woodgett, Shannon Bex, and Dawn Richard, then signed with Diddy’s label Bad Boy Records. The group disbanded in 2009.
Aubrey O’Day Advises Diddy to Take Down His Instagram Following His Public Apology
Taking her thoughts to Instagram, Aubrey O’Day continued to verbally attack Diddy for his actions.
“You know you aren’t right within when you go from pinning a statement of your innocence in caps locks to a quick delete & replace with a disingenuous monologue of your disgust of yourself,” she wrote on her Instagram Story, per Entertainment Weekly.
“Just take the Instagram down until you are ready to let people see who you really are. Until you really can admit to yourself who and what you are.”
O’Day previously spoke out about Diddy in the TMZ documentary The Downfall of Diddy. She stated that the rapper offered her and other artists the chance to buy their publishing rights. However, there were a few strings attached to the deal. Part of the deal was that the artists had to sign non-disclosure agreements (NDAs).
After considering Diddy and his offer, Aubrey O’Day said she didn’t want to sign the NDA because she had a sense that she would be signing away her ability to speak out. She was given $300.30 for a “full release against all claims against Diddy and many other players.”
