According to Entertainment Tonight, “On Tuesday, the Lawrence Kansas Police Department filed an affidavit with the Douglas County District Attorney seeking the arrest of Cole after an incident took place Sunday morning.”
“The police department tells ET they received distress calls regarding a woman in need of help at an apartment in Lawrence. By the time authorities arrived at the scene, Cole had already departed and was believed to be traveling southbound on Highway 59.”
Allegedly, there were reports of domestic violence. However, further information is not available with respect to the victim’s privacy and protection.
In a statement on Facebook yesterday, the Lawrence Kansas Police Department said:
“Lawrence Police have submitted an affidavit to the District Attorney for the arrest of Cole Brings Plenty after an incident Sunday morning at an apartment in Lawrence. We’ve identified him as the suspect, have probable cause for his arrest, and issued an alert to area agencies.
Officers responded to reports of a female screaming for help, but the suspect fled before officers arrived. The investigation identified Brings Plenty and traffic cameras showed him leaving the city immediately after the incident, traveling southbound on 59 Highway.
This incident involves allegations of domestic violence, which limits the amount of information we can share to protect the victim. No further details will be provided.
Brings Plenty’s family has contacted officers, expressed concern, and reported him as a missing person.”

On his Instagram, Mo shared a video/poster with more information about his nephew’s disappearance.
Hundreds of people commented on the post, many of whom expressed their concern and sympathy. Others, however, remarked about the nature of the case.
“He’s not missing now, he’s on the run from Lawrence Police,” one person said. “He’s wanted for DV and have probable cause to arrest him. Officers received reports of a female screaming for help on Sunday morning at an apartment in Lawrence.”
“Why not share the actual truth?” asked another commenter. “He is the suspect in a domestic violence case. He’s on the run. Police are trying to arrest him. Everyone showing sympathy for the SUSPECT. What about the VICTIM? What about the victim’s family?”
