Former WWE star 2 Cold Scorpio was put behind bars after authorities say he violently stabbed a man during a gas station fight earlier this month.

According to TMZ, the incident happened on June 15 at a Love’s Travel Stop in Kansas City, Mo. around 3:40 a.m. The former wrestler, whose real name is Charles Scaggs, told authorities then that he was a security guard at the store. He said the confrontation started after he saw the victim light up a cigarette in the store.
However, the stabbed victim said he didn’t light up inside the store. He also thought the cigarette was put out before entering the building.
2 Cold Scorpio approached the man to say he couldn’t smoke inside the building when there was an alleged exchange of words. The former WWE star said he thought the man said, “F— you, the f— you gonna do?”
Scaggs also accused the man of threatening him before they both made their way out of the store. The wrestler stated that was when the man took a swing at him.
2 Cold Scorpio said out of self-defense, he took a knife from his pocket and stabbed the victim. He said the fight went on for several more moments and he was able to get a few more stabs in.
The authorities reported that when they arrived on the scene, they could the stabbed man lying on the ground. He was bleeding from the head, chest, buttocks, legs, and abdomen. He was transported to a nearby hospital while going in and out of consciousness.
While speaking to investigators, the man said that 2 Cold Scorpio was the aggressor in the situation. The former wrestler is now facing two felony charges – one count of first-degree assault and one count of armed criminal action.
2 Cold Scorpio Out On Bond, AWill Appear in Court Next Month
TMZ further reports that 2 Cold Scorpio is now out on bond and has pleaded not guilty to the charges. He will be heading to court for a hearing in the case next month.
According to multiple outlets, Scaggs made his professional wrestling debut in 1985. He competed in WWE, WCW, ECW, and in Japan as 2 Cold Scorpio and Flash Funk.
Other names he went by during his wrestling career were 2 Gold Scorpio, Flyin’ Scorpio, Blakc Wazuma, and Flying Wazuma. He was Ron Simmons’ mystery partner at Clash of the Champions XXI in Nov. 1992. He was also a World Tag Team Champion with Marcus Alexander Bagwell in Oct. 1993.
His last known match with in Oct. 2021 when he debuted with PCW Ultra. He was defeated by The Blood Hunter with Kevin Sullivan.
