Following the news that his brother Jason is officially retiring from the NFL, Travis Kelce is heading to Singapore to spend time with his girlfriend, Taylor Swift.
AP sports writer, Tom Withers confirmed that Kelce was making his way to Singapore to see Swift as she performs a couple more shows in the country. “For all the Swifties, Travis Kelce is headed to Singapore,” Withers declared on X (formerly Twitter).
TMZ further reported that Travis Kelce’s manager, André Eanes, is also heading to Singapore. They will be landing just in time for Swift’s Thursday evening performance.
Travis Kelce was present as his brother Jason announced he ended his 13-season NFL career. “So, this all brings us here to today. Where I announce that I am retiring from the NFL after 13 seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles,” Jason told reporters on Monday, Mar. 4.
“And today I must admit, I am officially overrated. Vastly overrated. It took a lot of hard work and determination getting here. I have been the underdog my entire career, and I mean this when I say it, I wish I still was. Few things give me such joy as proving someone wrong.”
Travis Kelce was seen getting emotional while his brother made the announcement. He told Us Weekly that everyone in the football world felt Jason’s emotional news. “Clearly a lot of emotion at the end of this game for you guys, but I can attest for it because I was feeling it.”
“I know Kylie, mom, dad, everybody that was at the game was feeling it. And I know all the friends and family that I got texts from … they were all feeling it, man.”
Travis Kelce Talks About His Recent Trip to Australia
Just before jetting off to Singapore, Travis Kelce spoke about spending time with Taylor Swift in Australia last month.
Speaking about the well-known trip to the zoo with Taylor Swift and how much attention it received, Travis Kelce said, “There were full-on helicopters just flying around. They helicoptered us! Well, not us, Taylor. This is all because Taylor is the biggest and the best thing possible.”
He also recalled seeing various animals during the private zoo tour. “Saw a tiger sitting up in a tree house, that s— was f—— sweet, ain’t gonna lie. Saw a lion close up.”
“Dude, when you hear that, cause Taylor took the picture, [roar] you’re just like, ‘Oh my gosh,’ let alone one, you see three of them run down from their rock, their perch, knowing they’re about to get fed and you see how fast and agile that thing is, dude it’s over.”
