Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes hosted his annual gala in Las Vegas this past weekend. And one of his Chiefs’ teammates was feeling extremely generous.
Travis Kelce was of course in attendance at the event. And during his appearance, he auctioned off four tickets to Taylor Swift’s highly acclaimed Eras Tour.
“The NFL star, 34, called Swift, 34, his “significant other” in a cute moment as the couple attended their friend Patrick Mahomes’ The 15 and Mahomies Foundation Golf Classic gala in Las Vegas on April 27,” PEOPLE wrote.

“Kelce made the affectionate reference as he got up on stage during an auction at the gala to announce that Swift had agreed to put four tickets for her Eras tour up for auction at the event.”
Kelce, who went public with Swift during the last NFL season also referred to Taylor as his ‘significant other’ during his time to speak at the event.
“Speaking to guests, Kelce said, “I think, um, I was just talking to my significant other,” PEOPLE added.
“Referring to Swift, who was seen in footage posted on X (formerly Twitter) sitting beside Patrick and his wife Brittany Mahomes at the gala — “and uh, we might have one other auction item that wasn’t on the docket.”

Mahomes Gets Honest on Taylor, Travis
There is no doubt that Kelce is a celebrity in his own right. But Swift is perhaps the most famous person ever. And as a result, the coverage around the Chiefs and the NFL as a whole has ballooned.
There was some concern about Swift in the NFL fanbase. Some worried that the increased coverage surrounding Swift would become a distraction. And thus take away focus from the actual game.
But Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes isn’t complaining. He believes that she played a role in him becoming a cover star for TIME magazine.
“She was like the TIME Person of the Year a couple of months before that, so it’s really cool to be on the cover of TIME,” Mahomes said.
“And it does help when your best friend and your homie’s dating the most famous woman in the world,” he added referencing Kelce’s relationship with Taylor.
