Days after the news broke about the death of Eva Evans, more details about how TikTok star and Club Rat creator passed have surfaced.

According to TMZ, the 29-year-old social media influencer died by suicide. Sources close to the situation told the media outlet that a friend discovered her body late Saturday night. The friend had seen her the day before and had a key to her New York City apartment.
While attempting to check up on her, the friend found Eva Evans hanging in her apartment. While being questioned by authorities, the friend stated they didn’t know she was depressed or emotionally disturbed. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sources also told TMZ there were no unusual injuries and there was no sign of struggle. Evans did leave a note, but the contents were not revealed.
The official cause of death has not been ruled and is pending toxicology results.
Evans’ sister broke the news on Monday through an Instagram tribute. “Please share this post so that it reaches everyone it needs to,” she wrote. “Yesterday my family received news that our sweet, fabulous, creative, caring, hilarious, Eva, my beautiful sister, has died.”
Lila stated that after 24 hours she continues to find herself in a constant cycle of denial and acceptance. The family planned to hold a celebration for Eva in lower Manhattan.
Eva Evans is survived by Lila as well as her other sisters Zoe and Sofi and her mother Heather. Her father, Matt Baumgardner died in 2018.
Julia Fox and Others Pay Tribute to Eva Evans
Among those who took to social media to pay tribute to Eva Evans is Julia Fox.
“I always saw her like a little sister,” Fox wrote about Evans in her Instagram Stories. “And I know she looked up to me. And that’s the kind of person was.”
Fox also pointed out that Eva Evans tended to stick up for others against online trolls. “Sticking up for JoJo (Siwa), always sticking up for me. She was so young. still had so much to do in life.”
Photographer and director Ashley Armitage also penned a heartfelt tribute to Evans. She stated she loved Eva from the minute she met her. “The world is less bright and way less funny without her,” Armitage wrote. “And I don’t think I’ve laughed harder with anyone else.”
Armitage described Evans as smart, hilarious, creative, caring, magnet, and confident. “She moved through the world loving and laughing at everything. She had such an orbit, people flocked to her and wanted to be in her world,” she added.
