A high school rowing competition in Sacramento erupted in gunfire last month. The entire ordeal was captured on tape in what is a shocking video.
The competition took place on the Sacramento River in April. Gunshots rang out, but missed, causing parents to fear for their child’s lives. The teens in the rowing completion appeared to be unphased in the video footage, however, adding to the madness.

Sacramento River Shooting Shocks the Internet
The Oakland Strokes rowing team is the squad that is captured in the unbelievable video above. The incident occurred on April 20. In the footage, splashes from the bullets can be seen just feet away from the boat.
Thankfully, nobody was injured. However, it was enough of a close call to upset some of the parents of the teens on the boat. Fred Ackerman’s 15-year-old son was involved. He called the incident “horrifying” in an interview with the local news.
“I was pretty shocked,” he said. “It’s horrifying. No parent should give any thought to sending their child to a sporting event, to a concert, to an elementary school and think, ‘My child might get shot today.'”
No further details about the incident – including who fired the shots or why – is available at this time.
