According to TMZ, Lloyd, who was the younger version of Anakin Skywalker in the prequel trilogy, was seen heading to a local gym in Los Angeles. The former actor attempted to keep a low profile by keeping his head down while making his way to the establishment.
TMZ reports Jake Lloyd was seen for the first time in 1 year.

Looking well Jake. The fans love you no matter what. Naysayers will try to blame the fans for anything. pic.twitter.com/t9rSrgt3Yf
Jake Lloyd experienced a psychotic break last year. In March 2024, his mother, Lisa Lloyd, stated that his mental health struggles led to a road incident in 2023. The former child star managed to turn their vehicle off while driving in the middle of the road.
Lisa shared that her son struggled to communicate with the responding law enforcement, comparing the moment to being a “word salad.”
“He said he wanted to turn the car off,” Jake Lloyd’s mother recalled earlier this year. “And he turned the car off in the middle of the three lanes, and we were in the middle lane. There was a lot of yelling and screaming.”
Jake, who was diagnosed with schizophrenia in the late 2000s, was admitted to the hospital following the car incident. He was then transferred to a mental health facility, where he was to go through the 18-month program.
As for her son’s mental health progress, Lisa stated earlier this year that the former actor was doing better. “He is relating to people better and becoming a little bit more social,” she said. “Which is really nice.”
Jake Lloyd’s Mother Said Her Son’s Mental Health Became Worse While in College
Along with opening up about the psychotic break that her son experienced last year, Jake Lloyd’s mother stated the actor’s mental health woes became worse when he went to college.
“He didn’t tell us he was hearing voices at the time,” Lisa explained. “But he was. When they finally told him [he was schizophrenic], it totally threw him off into an even worse depression. It was really hard.”
However, Lisa did admit she noticed some psychological instances while her son was in high school. “Jake started having some trouble in high school,” she pointed out while identifying when she started to notice changes in her son’s personality. “He started talking about ‘realities.’ He didn’t know if he was in this reality, or a different reality. I didn’t really know exactly what to say to that.”
