Although they just announced they are expecting their fourth child, Secret Lives of Mormon Wives stars Jen and Zac Affleck are dealing with some challenges behind closed doors.

While speaking to PEOPLE, Jen opened up about the struggles she and Zac faced as they moved their family to California for the Hulu’s show’s new spin-off.
“It’s been a lot the past couple of months, I’ll be honest,” she said. “But I do feel like I’m seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and just trying to count my blessings every single day.”
Jen further revealed that she found out she was pregnant during the move. Along with moving, the reality TV star noted she struggled with an infected wisdom tooth.
“I have to go into surgery; I can’t go under; I can’t take the meds because I’m nauseous and throwing up,” she explained. “I have to go into surgery.

Jen added, “I mean, I was just going through it.”
She then acknowledged that she and Zac have been going through some marital issues amid the pregnancy.
“There’s a lot that we’ve been navigating behind closed doors,” she admitted. “But I do have to say, I wouldn’t have survived the first trimester without him
The Reality Star Also Spoke About Her Health Struggles
Along with the tooth situation, Jen shared that she was also going through prenatal depression. She addressed why she felt it was important to speak out about her health woes.
“I definitely feel like everything that I’m experiencing right now is for a reason, and I do believe that it’s supposed to help people,” she noted. “I think I’m in a very unique and interesting situation, where maybe people can’t relate with being Mormon and having four kids at such a young age, but I do think there are different things that people can relate with.”
While she knows there will always be some criticism towards her, Jen doesn’t seem fazed. I think there’s always going to be hate, and there’s always going to be criticism, but as long as one person is benefiting from me sharing my story, that’s all that matters to me.”
The Afflecks are set to appear on the new show The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County.
