Not the reaction she was probably expecting, Larsa Pippen is being slammed by critics for posting a heavily edited photo of herself.
The Real Housewives of Miami star was called out after sharing a photo of herself wearing a piece from her Larsa Marie jewelry line.
Many of the critics began to compare Pippen to fellow reality TV star Kim Kardashian. She was even referred to as the “Temu Kardashian.”
“What in the Kim Kardashian wannabe is going on?” one critic wrote.
Another critic admitted to originally thinking the photo was of Kylie Jenner. but then they thought it was Kim Kardashian. “But this is definitely not Larsa,” they pointed out.
Larsa Pippen was criticized earlier this year for posting another edited image of herself at the beach. It didn’t take long for her own family to call her out.
“My dad sent me a text yesterday and said, ‘You published a photo and I think you need to take it down,’” Pippen told PEOPLE at the time. “And when my dad texts me stuff like that, I listen!”
Larsa Pippen ended up taking her father’s advice and deleted the photo. She also said she didn’t want to upset her father and decided the photo wasn’t worth the tension it was causing.
“They’re not always happy with me,” she further stated about her parents. “They’re very conservative. They like to live very low-profile – they don’t like all the hoopla. I feel like, for me, that’s all I’ve known. So I’m very comfortable in craziness and they’re not.”
Larsa Pippen Said Her Children Can Be ‘A Little Embarrassed’ by Her Revealing Social Media Posts
Along with her conservative parents, Larsa Pippen stated her four children, Sophia, Justin, Preston, and Scotty Jr., aren’t big fans of her overly revealing social media posts.
“They can be a little embarrassed over things their mom does now and then,” Larsa said. “But we’re a supportive family. You know, Scotty Jr. is playing for the Lakers, Justin is getting all these scholarships for basketball, Sophia is modeling, so they’re all pursuing things they love.”
Larsa Pippen also said that she has spoken to her children, whom she shares with ex-husband Scottie Pippen, about her decision to be very open to her social media followers.
“I tell my kids, ‘You’re not going to have this chance in life. You have to take advantage of your opportunities in life,’” she said. “‘Because you never know when they won’t be there.’ And they need some reminding of that sometimes, but they ultimately get that.”
