Following the backlash over his latest round of antisemitic rants, Kanye West has deleted his account on X (formerly Twitter). Minutes before his eyebrow-raising Super Bowl ad aired, Kanye West took to X to reveal that his account was “limited” after he posted hate-filled, antisemitic rants as well as adult video content.

“MY TWITTER REACH HAS BEEN LIMITED SO I AM NOT ALLOWED TO TREND DOING SUPER BOWL,” he wrote. “I AM SETTING UP A DISCORD CHANEL ON MY WEBSITE WELCOME TO AMERICA.”
West then made the decision to just delete his X account altogether. The rapper’s X profile now reads, “This account doesn’t exist.”
West posted several racist and antisemitic comments on X over the past week. Among the declarations were “I’m a Nazi” and referring to Hitler as “so fresh.” Anti-hate organizations, including the Anti-Defamation League and the American Jewish Committee, also condemned the comments.
Over the weekend, Friends alum David Schwimmer took to his Instagram account to slam Kanye West and demanded that X owner Elon Musk remove the rapper from the platform.
“We can’t stop a deranged bigot from spewing hate-filled, ignorant bile… but we CAN stop giving him a megaphone, Mr. Musk,” Schwimmer stated while addressing Musk. “Kanye West has 32.7 million followers on your platform, X. That’s twice as many people than the number of Jews in existence.”
Schwimmer referred to West’s comments as “sick hate” that could result in “real life violence” against Jewish people.
“I don’t know what’s worse,” the actor continued. “The fact that he identifies as a Nazi (which implies he wants to exterminate ALL marginalized communities including his own) or the fact that there is not sufficient OUTRAGE to remove and ban him from all social media at this point.”
Schwimmer concluded his post with “Silence is complicity.”
