While performing at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida, on Friday, Nov. 29, the country superstar became noticeably upset after the overeager fan roughly touched her, forcing her to spin around. She was heard declaring, “What the f—?” to the fan before shaking her head. She then continued her performance.
TMZ reports it remains unclear if the fan was removed from the venue. However, the whole ordeal was caught on video.
@jngarz hey maybe we should have a shred of decency and not grab & pull artists during their shows. still annoyed this happened, love u @kaceymusgraves 🫶🏻 #tampa #kaceymusgraves #kaceymusgravesconcert ♬ original sound – jenny
Kacey Musgraves addressed the incident during her show at Hard Rock Live on Saturday, Nov. 30. “Last night – this Tampa b—,” she told the crowd, who booed at the fan’s actions. “I know. She kind of ruined it. She kind of ruined it for everybody.”
“I thought I was gonna have to get real East Texas on her,” Musgraves continued. “Take off my earrings.”
The country singer then said, “Um, well, Florida goes hard. It felt a little bit like when you type your name and birth date into the Florida man thing, but Tampa girl popped up.”
Despite the incident, Kacey Musgraves was ready for the next performance and was “very excited to be” at Hard Rock Live.
Musgraves’ Deep Well World Tour kicked off this past spring and has only a few more stops left. She will perform in Orlando and Charlotte before concluding the tour with a two-night stop in Nashville.
The tour is named after her sixth studio album.
Kacey Musgraves Previously Opened Up About Her Deep Well World Tour
While speaking to Vogue in September, Kacey Musgraves opened up about her Deep Well World Tour.
“So much work has gone into putting this show together,” she gushed. “It is crazy to see what started as a small, tiny seed of a song expanded into this multi-sensory experience.”
Kacey Musgraves then pointed out that the tour is a way to express herself in a “big way.”
“The energy exchange between me and this crowd,” she continued. “I feel very fortunate to be able to do that.”
Musgraves also told Variety earlier this year that each performance feels like a “mini-festival” for her.
“I wanted to create a musical moment that felt like a little mini-festival that I personally would want to go to,” she added. “I’m such a fan of all these musicians for different reasons, but I think they’re all authentically themselves and have created worlds that look and sound so beautiful.
