Just a few months after Jonathan Majors was found guilty of harassment and assault, the former Marvel star is facing more legal woes.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Majors is now being sued by ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari for defamation as well as assault and battery. She filed the lawsuit on Tuesday in New York federal court.
In the lawsuit, Jabbari accused Jonathan Majors of subjecting her to a “pattern of pervasive domestic abuse that began in 2021 and extended through 2023.” She also detailed several instances of alleged physical violence.
Major’s attorney, Priya Chaudhry, issued a statement about the latest legal troubles. “This is no surprise. Mr. Majors is preparing counterclaims against Ms. Jabbari.”
The former couple first met on the set of Ant-man & The Wasp: Quantumania in 2021. She alleged the abuse she endured at the hands of Jonathan Majors escalated to assault in 2022. The actor “attacked” Jabbari at one point and caused “serious injuries” to her body.
Among the incidents was one on Sept. 20, 2022. Majors “pushed Grace so hard that it bruised her backside” during a verbal fight. He then picked her up in the air and threw her against the hood of her car. The actor went on to bring her back into their home and held his hands around her neck. At that time, he said he wanted to kill her and he was going to kill her.
Majors went on to hit Jabbari’s head against the marble floor while strangling her. She late wanted to receive medical treatment for the incident. But she claimed she was convinced by Majors to not go.
He told her in a text, “They will ask you questions, and as I don’t think you actually protect us, it could lead to an investigation even if you do lie and they suspect something.”

The new lawsuit from Jabbari comes just days after Jonathan Majors’ current girlfriend, Meagan Good stated she’s the happiest she’s been in a long time due to their relationship.
“I’m in love,” she told PEOPLE at the 2024 NAACP Image Awards this past weekend. “I’m transitioning, I’m healing, I’m growing [and] I’m getting excited about what’s next. Just a lot of things at once. But what I can say, is I’m the happiest I’ve been in a long time.”
Good also pointed out that it’s been a crazy time in general for her. “I just have peace in my heart,” the Harlem star continued. “And I love myself and the skin that I’m in and the season that I’m in and the growth that’s happening.”
In regards to the things she’s currently focusing on, Good added that mental health and self-care are priorities. “I keep my eyes on God, you know, that’s the focus, And I stay true to myself and I stay authentic.”
“I know what i know that I know. And in time, everything else just catches up with what you know, if you’re true to yourself and you’re authentic.”
Good has been dating Majors since May 2023.
