Jennifer Love Hewitt Admits Putting Her Children’s Faces on the Book Cover Was the ‘Most Stressful’ Decision to Make
Following the debut of her memoir, Jennifer Love Hewitt spoke out about putting her children’s faces on the book’s cover.
“It was the most stressful decision to show our kids or not to show them,” the I Know What You Did Last Summer star told E! News. “But my husband and I felt like we couldn’t really tell our story without knowing who they are and how they have made our lives so full and magical.”
While opening up about the book and her life experiences, Jennifer Love Hewitt said her children have played key roles in her life after the death of her mother, Patricia Mae Hewitt.
“My kids also saved me in grief,’ she said. “They are gifts from my mom and have filled our hearts in such an incredible way. This book is for them!”
Patricia passed away in June 2012 from cancer complications. “I felt healed enough from losing my mom to finally be able to write about it,” Jennifer Love Hewitt shared. “I also have seen how creating little bits of magic for my kids and friends makes our memories and everyday lives special.”
She went on to add that she wanted to honor her mother and share how much being a mom means to her. “This felt like the best way.”
The book will be released on Dec. 10.
