Jennifer Aniston is getting “too close for comfort” with Naomi Watts’ boyfriend, Billy Crudup, on the set of their Apple series “The Morning Show,” claims one of this week’s tabloids. The story is completely untrue. Gossip Cop can debunk it.

According to Life & Style, Watts is jealous of all the time her boyfriend has been spending with Aniston while shooting their upcoming TV series, and she’s beginning to wonder “if they’re more than friends.” An alleged insider tells the magazine the King Kong star often “drops by the set” of the Apple show “and she’s got spies keeping an eye on them, too.”
The supposed source goes on to assert Crudup “has a bad habit of falling for leading ladies,” noting that he and Watts started dating while working together on the Netflix series “Gypsy.” The questionable tipster adds, “I don’t think Jen would break girl code. But Billy is just her type.”
The magazine’s attempt at creating a love triangle is baseless. Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to the situation, who wasn’t able to speak on the record, but assures us Watts isn’t suspicious of her boyfriend’s working relationship with his co-star. The actress hasn’t been stopping by the set unannounced, and she certainly hasn’t recruited any “spies” to keep tabs on Aniston and Crudup. The tabloid’s report is ridiculous.
Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time the publication has created nonexistent drama on the set of “The Morning Show.” Back in March, Gossip Cop busted the outlet for falsely claiming Aniston was feuding with Reese Witherspoon on the set of the upcoming series. In reality, the two actresses are close friends.
Interestingly enough, this also isn’t the first time a tabloid has attempted to create drama between Aniston and Watts. Back in February 2017, Gossip Cop called out Life & Style‘s sister outlet, the National Enquirer, for alleging Aniston was upset about Justin Theroux hugging Watts at an event. The magazine further contended Theroux and Aniston were getting a divorce over the situation. They did, in fact, split almost a full year later, but their breakup had nothing to do with the actor innocently hugging Watts.
As for Life & Style, this is the same tabloid that recently published a cover story about Aniston being “in love” with Brad Pitt again. Reps for both stars have repeatedly assured Gossip Cop that they’re not getting back together. The untrustworthy magazine comes up with new narratives about the actress on a whim.
