After the “Love On Top” singer wrapped up her world tour on Sunday in Kansas City, she released a trailer for her upcoming film. The project is to debut in theaters on December 1.
According to an official synopsis of the film, “It is about Beyoncé’s intention, hard work, involvement in every aspect of the production, her creative mind and purpose to create her legacy, and master her craft.”
The synopsis continues, “Received with extraordinary acclaim, Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour created a sanctuary for freedom, and shared joy, for more than 2.7 million fans.”
At the beginning of the trailer, Beyoncé explains, “When I am performing, I am free.”
She continues, “The goal for this tour was to create a place where everyone is free and no one is judged.”
The trailer shows clips of Beyoncé performing, Blue Ivy joining her on tour, and images of the singer’s family.
Beyoncé captioned her Instagram announcement of the film, “Be careful what you ask for, ‘cause I just might comply.”
According to the comment section of her announcement, fans of the performer couldn’t be more elated.
One influencer, @chrisklemens commented, “OH HELL YEAH,” followed by an ecstatic, “MOTHER!”
Another fan, @lasizwe, replied, “Damn, we even got an IG caption… it’s definitely ON like how the mic was ON!!!!”

As reported by Billboard, the “Renaissance Tour” became the highest-grossing tour by a female artist. In second comes Madonna’s “Sticky & Sweet Tour” with $461.3 million. The world tour also doubled as a philanthropic effort of Beyoncé’s. The star’s charity foundation, BeyGood, donated $2 million to entrepreneurs and students while touring.
Half of BeyGood’s $2 million donation was sent to small businesses in marginalized communities, and the second half of the donation established the “Renaissance Scholar Fund.” The BeyGood Foundation, established in 2013, has also made notable donations to the Flint water crisis and COVID-19 Relief Efforts.
