Gypsy Rose Blanchard is a major Swiftie, so much so that she’s convinced that a song from Taylor Swift’s latest album is secretly about her and her journey. Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know Swift recently dropped Tortured Poets Department. The album mainly dealt with her breakup from Joe Alwyn.

On the album, Swift recorded the song “Fresh Out The Slammer.” Many people think the track is about Swift metaphorically getting out of prison from a bad relationship. However, Blanchard thinks it’s literal. She thinks, according to TMZ, that the song is about her getting out of prison in December.
According to the outlet, Blanchard sees a lot of herself in the song. She said that the similarities are almost uncanny. For instance, Blanchard got out of prison and immediately moved in with her estranged husband Ryan Anderson. Meanwhile, the song features someone getting out of the slammer and finding a new lover.
In particular, Blanchard settled on the lyrics “camera flashes, welcome bashes.” She said the lyrics are reflective of the paparazzi following her since leaving prison. Likewise, she had a welcome home party.
Gypsy Rose Blanchard Talks Life Out Of Bars
Upon getting out of prison, Blanchard embraced a new lease on life. She opened up about the good things in her life, via ABC.
“I’ve got a lot of great things happening really soon,” she explained. “I just put out an eBook that I’m super proud of. It’s not a rehashing of everything that happened—it’s more of my reflection of everything that I have learned and experienced in the last eight and a half years.”
She said that being out of prison was like being in a new world. “I felt a little bit like I was dropped in a different world,” she said. “Because you don’t realize how much you’re restricted in prison. I felt like I was in a black-and-white world and I just stepped into technicolor. It was amazing.”
However, Blanchard is very aware that not everyone likes her and that she committed a major crime. “I always said I think I’m infamous and that I came out famous,” she explained. “There is this massive amount of support. And I appreciate that. But I’m dealing with a lot of self-guilt and regrets myself. So it’s a battle going on in my heart and in my mind.”
However, she said she’s just trying to be herself.”I don’t think that I’m doing anything that anybody else wouldn’t do. I’m being myself,” she said.
