Star tight end Darren Waller and Las Vegas Aces star Kelsey Plum seemed to be perfect for each other. Plum was a star for the Las Vegas WNBA team and Waller was a tight end for the Las Vegas Raiders. The two even tied the knot the summer after Plum won her first-ever NBA title.

But things are not always as they appear to be. Earlier this year, Plum and Waller announced they were getting a divorce from each other, barely a year after they said ‘I do.’

Darren Waller Drops New Song Amid Divorce
Waller does not appear to be handling the split very well. On May 30 he released a song titled “Who Knew (Her Perspective).” In the accompanying video to the song, Waller employs a female love interest who looks exactly like his ex-wife.
But Waller says that the video and the song seek to address his struggle with “intimacy” in his past relationships.
“I’ve struggled with intimacy in romantic relationships my whole life, and I recognize the toll it has taken on the lovers I’ve been close to,” he told TMZ Sports on Thursday. “Essentially, I’m telling myself, from the damage I’ve done, that it’s imperative for me to heal the wounds in my life I’ve been avoiding by seeking relationships.”
Kelsey Plum Named SKIMS Brand Ambassador
Things have not been all bad for Plum this season. In fact, they’ve been pretty good. She and the Aces recently celebrated winning back-to-back titles. In addition, she just became a brand ambassador for Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS brand. SKIMS recently became the WNBA’s official underwear sponsor.
In a press release following the announcement, Kim noted “women’s empowerment,” as one of the values that SKIMS shares with the WNBA.
“I’m proud to launch this new WNBA campaign starring such an incredible cast of athletes. Championing women and women in sports is incredibly important to SKIMS,” she said in the press release.
“Our brand DNA is rooted in inclusivity, representation, and women’s empowerment, which are values shared with the WNBA. We are honored to be the Official Underwear Partner of the league and look forward to continuing our work together throughout the season.”
