The dancer, who also appeared in Will Ferrell’s 2022 comedy Spirited, was last seen leaving his mother’s home in South Carolina on Oct. 3, 2024, per local outlet WIS 10. A day later, a deputy found Williams’ car abandoned in the Palmetto Trail parking lot off Bluff Road, but there was no sign of the entertainer.

Throughout December 2024, family members organized official search efforts to locate the missing dancer, but their attempts were unsuccessful.
On Thursday, Jan. 2, Williams’ cousin, Mieoki Corbett-Jacobs, shared an update on Facebook regarding the ongoing search for Zelig. In her post, she confirmed that Zelig remains missing and expressed the family’s belief that his disappearance may be tied to something far more sinister.
“2025 is here, and tomorrow will mark the 3rd month since Zelig Williams left his home heading out with a portfolio in his hand… possibly to drop it off or meet with someone briefly,” Mieoki Corbett-Jacobs wrote on Facebook.
“On behalf of Kathy Williams, Christine Mclaughlin Barber, Caroline Lewis Jones, and our family, we thank you for your unwavering support,” she continued. “That being said, we want to provide some updates and understanding: The search will continue, but not in the areas that we’ve searched before (stay tuned for additional dates and locations in the next week or two), We do not believe that Zelig is in the water and we ABSOLUTELY believe that there is foul play related to his disappearance.”
Authorities Haven’t Ruled Out Foul Play in Zelig Williams’ Case
Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott held a news conference following Williams’ disappearance in October. Early in the investigation, Lott and his team made it clear that foul play had not been ruled out.
Around the time of his disappearance, the family mentioned that Zelig Williams may have stopped taking his prescribed medication for mental health, according to Vibe.
Zelig Williams’ family is still urging those who might have information on his whereabouts to reach out to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department at (803) 576-3000 or submit a tip through Crime Stoppers at crimesc.com.
