Dylan Sprouse became a popular child star, along with his twin brother, Cole, when the two starred on the Disney show, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody. Sprouse played Zack, while his brother played Cody. The show followed the brother’s adventures at a hotel they lived in with their mother and various other characters that also resided there. Sprouse and his brother went on to star on the show’s spin-off, The Suite Life on Deck, which aired on the Disney channel from 2008 to 2011.

Like their fellow Disney colleagues, the two successfully transitioned into young adult actors and entrepreneurs. Sprouse’s brother stars in the teen drama Riverdale as Jughead Jones. The twin brothers haven’t acted together since The Suite Life Movie in 2011, so what has the elder (by 15 minutes) Sprouse been up?
Dylan Sprouse moves past “The Suite Life”
The former child star appeared in several music videos, including Camila Cabello’s “Consequences” in 2018. Sprouse also appeared in a few shows and short films, but his biggest venture came when he opened his own brewery. He’s the co-owner and brewmaster of the Brooklyn brewery company, All-Wise Meadery, which specializes in making mead, also known as honey wine. Sprouse explained that brewing is very similar to acting. “Brewing is a creative medium that touches the audience very tangibly,” Sprouse told the New York Post.
The actor revealed that he had been brewing since he was a teen and became a passion of his. “I don’t think there was a moment from 17 years old up until now that I have not had [something] brewing in my home,” Sprouse said. From 2011 to 2015, Dylan Sprouse and his brother took a break from the industry to attend college. “Working from that young of an age is definitely a double-edged sword,” the actor explained.
Since the creation of his brewery, Sprouse has been very involved in it and loves to see the joy it brings those closest to him. “Having my friends and loved ones drink and talk and be merry is spiritual, to me,” he said. But the actor isn’t completely done being in the entertainment world.
The actor-turned-brewer is returning to the screen
In August 2019, it was announced that Sprouse would be starring in the film, After We Collided. The movie is a romantic drama based on the adult fiction book of the same name. It’s a sequel to the film, After. Sprouse will play the role of Trevor Matthews, a romantic rival of the protagonist’s boyfriend. While he’s not busy making brews or gearing up for his next role, Sprouse is also very active on Twitter. The actor has over 4 million followers and seems to be very chatty with his fans between jokes and updates.
