Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Garner have been very good friends for years. They worked together on Alias decades ago and it seems whenever one or both are single, rumors start to spread that they are getting romantic. The two have never dated, as far as we know, and they certainly haven’t publicly.

Sand Castles On The Beach
In August 2020, both actors were single. Cooper had broken up with his girlfriend Irina Shayk, and Garner was temporarily rumored to have split from longtime boyfriend John Miller. At the time, the supermarket tabloid Star reported that Garner and Cooper were getting romantic after photos emerged of the two on a trip to the beach with Cooper’s daughter.
That, according to the dubious magazine, was all it took. One trip to the beach and they were darn near planning a wedding. The magazine went even further, dragging Garner’s ex Ben Affleck into the story by falsely claiming that he was jealous of the two before he got sober. It even hinted at some sort of romantic rivalry between Cooper and Affleck—all of which was nonsense.
The Beach Trip Was Innocent
Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Garner were simply making sandcastles and hanging out with Cooper’s daughter. It was not a flirtatious trip to the beach at all. It was two good friends hanging out for the day—nothing more, nothing less. The story relied on anonymous sources to get across nearly all the information and only used out-of-context quotes from Garner and Affleck that have little to do with the alleged romance.
The bit about Affleck and Cooper having a rivalry was completely false. Affleck has cited Cooper and Robert Downey Jr. as “wonderful men” who “have been really helpful” in getting sober. Why would Affleck lean on Cooper if he harbored petty jealousy and a rivalry? It doesn’t add up. Yes, Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Garner are long-time buddies, but no, they weren’t—and aren’t—dating.
