Following a fashion emergency, Tori Spelling appeared at the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards wearing one of her daughter’s outfits.
During the latest episode of their podcast Amy and T.J., T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach said the Beverly Hills, 90210 star told them about the award show outfit mishap.
“Tori was waiting in line with us, but she’d had a fashion emergency earlier,” Robach recalled. “I don’t know how it happened but somehow the dress she was supposed to wear got misplaced.”
Robach then said that some of her reps had asked various award show attendees if they had any clothing that Tori Spelling could borrow.
Thankfully, the actress was able to “make it work” and found a pair of pants from someone and a top from her daughter.
Robach noticed that Tori Spelling’s outfit had “really cool” jewelry. “I realized I had none,” the former GMA 3 anchor said. “So she was offering me some of her rings. it was very sweet. She was like, ‘Hey look, I know what it’s like to be without.”
Holmes then said it was a “surreal moment” to be waiting to have his picture taken with Robach as well as talking to Spelling and talking about exchanging jewelry.
Robach chimed in and said, “When I was coming up, she was like everything.”
Tori Spelling Recently Announced She Has Filed For Divorce From Dean McDermott
The wardrobe mishap at the 2024 iHeartRadio Awards comes just days after Tori Spelling announced she has filed for divorce from estranged husband Dean McDermott.
During the first episode of her new podcast misSPELLING, Tori called Dean to tell him that she has officially filed the divorce paperwork. The former couple was married for nearly 20 years before calling it quits.
“I’ve never felt more alone,” Spelling explained as she discussed the end of her 18-year marriage with McDermott. “I don’t feel worth loving. That’s the truth. And that’s something that’s just in you, it’s not something I wanted or created. That starts when you’re young. [And changing it] that’s not easy to do… I don’t know if you can.”
She also said when it comes to filing for divorce, there’s a process to getting a divorce. “There’s this weird thing that I didn’t know about before. That you have to be careful with your ex. It’s a he-said, she-said, who filed first.”
The actress noted the other key steps she had to do before telling McDermott. “I had to file and go through the process,” she explained. “And then once it was accepted and publicly posted, then I’m allowed to call and fill in my ex. So I just called Dean.”
