Following his Gypsy Rose Blanchard, Ruth Bader Ginsburg mix-up blunder, The Bachelor’s Joey Graziadei has apologized for the situation.

While Graziadei was at the White House with press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre. The Bachelor star noticed a collection of photos before seeing a framed portrait of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. However, he ended up saying Gypsy Rose Blanchard instead.
“I’m so sorry,” Joey Graziadei declared. “It was a bad time. I knew that that wasn’t actually her in the photo. Ruth came in my head, but I know I won’t live that one down.”

Graziadei then said, “I know how much of a legend [Ginsburg] is and how much she’s done for equal rights and women’s empowerment.”
Quick to turn the situation around, Joey Graziadei went on to present Jean-Pierre with a signature The Bachelor rose. “I would gladly accept this rose,” she said. Jean-Pierre, who is the first openly LGBTQ+ person to serve as press secretary then added, “Can I just say one thing? I thought it would be coming from a Bachelorette.”
“As it should be,” Graziadei noted before the duo hugged and laughed.
The original mishap happened when Graziadei confused Blanchard for Ginsburg while playing a round of How Online Are You, hosted by Betches. Although he recognized Blanchard, who was recently released from prison eight years after being convicted of murdering her mother. However, he couldn’t recall her name.
“I know that she had something happen where she went to jail because of her mom,” he said. “Ruth Ginsburg? I dunno what I’m saying.”

Before the premiere of The Bachelor season 28, the show’s lead Joey Graziadei opened up about his finding love journey.
While speaking to PEOPLE, Graziadei spoke about his ultimate worry about the Bachelor experience. “My biggest worry is just, truthfully, not making the right decision,” he explained. “Or finding the right person, or possibly just ending in a way that doesn’t end with my forever person. Truthfully, that’s a real fear of mine.”
Joey Graziadei, who was the runner-up on Charity Laweson’s season of The Bachelorette, spoke about her approach to the show. He said she did a great job of “being intentional with her conversations.”
“When you were talking with her from my side, it felt like she was always just very invested and interested in getting to know who you were,” he said. “And that lets other people open up and feel more comfortable. So for me, that’s the biggest thing I’ve taken from what I’ve learned from her. She just was very intentional, made everyone feel comfortable and open, so if I have even an ounce of that, I’m going to be grateful for it.”
