Sean “Diddy” Combs has found himself in trouble with law enforcement. On March 25th, the Bad Boy Records CEO had his home raided by the FBI and U.S. Homeland Security. The raid was due to a connection that the hip-hop mogul has to an ongoing sex trafficking investigation.
Death Row and Bad Boy had a notorious beef in the 1990s. Their respective top artists Tupac Shakur and Biggie Smalls were at odds after Shakur got shot during a visit to Quad Studios and accused Smalls and the rival label of arranging the shooting.
Suge Knight Gets Honest on Diddy
One would think that now-incarcerated Death Row founder Suge Knight would use this moment to take a victory lap. But it is actually quite the opposite. He said that he had sympathy for the Bad Boy CEO.
“My first reaction, it’s not the reaction I thought I would have when it came to Puffy. I thought it’d be a reaction like he got what he got coming ‘cause everybody knows what’s been going on,” Knight said of Diddy’s legal troubles.
“My reaction was actually different because the first thing that came to my mind was: he has his sons, he has his daughters. My reaction was first about the kids. The thing is, I feel it’s a bad day for Hip Hop. It’s a bad day for the culture because it makes us all look bad.”

Knight also noted that he is looking at the bigger picture of the case surrounding the legendary producer. He noted that he feels for the victims who are involved.
“So for the tragedy on both sides, to the victims, to him, that’s definitely nothing to cheer about,” Knight added.
“I’m not the type of guy to cheer for other people’s downfall.”
Knight also acknowledged the previous problems that he and Diddy had. He also left the door open for a potential reconciliation.
“If somebody got killed or something happened to them, then I’m not going to pop champagne bottles. If I have a problem with Puffy, that’s for he and I to sit down in a room and resolve it,” he added.
