As he prepares to find a new White House press secretary, President Trump offers some praise to Karoline Leavitt for making the role “very glamorous.”

While speaking to reporters over the weekend, Trump bragged that there is a lot of interest in the role.
“I have never had so many job applications in my life,” he declared. “They all want that job. They love that job.”
The world leader then said, “[Karoline Leavitt] made that job very glamorous.”
Trump announced in mid-August that Leavitt would be leaving her role as White House press secretary.
“Our wonderful White House Press Secretary, and one of my most trusted aides, Karoline Leavitt, will be departing her role at the end of the month,” he wrote. “So she can spend more time with her beautiful young children and family.”
“Karoline will not be one of my top outside advisors,” he shared, “And an influential voice within the Republican Party, as we work to defy History, and conclusively win the Midterm Elections.”
“Thank you, Karoline, for a job well done!” he added.
Leavitt also issued a statement about her decision and what the White House press secretary position meant to her.
“I am incredibly grateful to President Trump for granting me so many extraordinary opportunities,” she said. “Such as working in the West Wing and spending countless hours in the Oval Office, flying around the world and meeting foreign leaders, and traveling across our beautiful country and meeting Americans from all walks of life. Most of all, I am thankful to the President for entrusting me with the distinct privilege of speaking on his behalf at the White House podium.”
She further called serving in the position “the honor and adventure of a lifetime.”
Leavitt Reveals Where She Is Going After White House
Meanwhile, Leavitt told reporters she would be joining MAGA, Inc. after leaving the White House.
MAGA, Inc. is notably the super PAC that supports President Trump. Leavitt had previously worked for the organization before joining Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign.
Although Leavitt stated she would start at MAGA, Inc. in September, she did not reveal what her new role would be.
Leavitt served as an assistant White House press secretary during Trump’s first term. After Trump lost the 2020 presidential election, she became a communications director for New York Congresswoman Elise Stefanik.
She later launched a campaign for the House of Representatives seat for New Hampshire’s first congressional district. Although a Republican primary winner, she lost to Democratic incumbent Chris Pappas.
Leavitt went to MAGA, Inc. following her campaign loss.
She is the youngest person in history to hold the White House press secretary position.
