Hayley Williams of Paramore has been gushing over Taylor Swift and her most recent album, The Tortured Poets Department.
Over the weekend, Hayley shared different artists on her Instagram Story. One of them was Taylor, for which she posted an image of The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology.
“Had me from the storytelling alone, my friend,” she wrote. “Every one of us knows this kind of grief! It’s so impressive to me how specific and colorful Taylor’s words get without ever losing the universal thread.”
In addition to Taylor, Hayley praised Beyoncé, Brittany Howard, Rufus Wainwright, Bee Gees, Tierra Whack, Radiohead, The Smile, Blonde Redhead, and Idles.

Hayley met Taylor back in 2008, and they’ve since maintained a solid, supportive friendship. In fact, Taylor has been there for Hayley through tough times in her personal life.
“Not long after we became friends, she knew I felt awkward going to my ex’s wedding, so she tagged along with me, made it fun, and then we ditched the reception to go to the Cheesecake Factory,” Hayley stated in a recent interview with PEOPLE.
“She recently called when I was going through a rough time, just to listen and crack jokes and give me solid advice that of course sounded like perfectly formed lyrics,” she continued. “She’s funny as sh— and so fun.”
Last summer, Taylor announced the exciting news that Paramore would be joining her on tour this year.
“Really can’t contain my excitement because… we’re adding 14 new shows to The Eras Tour,” Taylor said in July. “And I get to travel the world doing shows with Paramore!! Hayley and I have been friends since we were teens in Nashville and now we get to frolic around the UK/Europe next summer??? I’m screaming???”
Paramore will be opening for Taylor on the European leg of the Eras Tour in May. The first show is set to take place in Paris on May 9. The stars will then tour cities like Lisbon, Dublin, Vienna, Liverpool, and London.
