According to the Instagram app, Minaj’s account @nickiminaj is no longer available to view. Critics claim the female rapper lost 10 million followers after participating in the ultra-conservative event. However, there is no evidence that backs the claim.
Minaj raised some eyebrows as she took to the stage of AmericaFest with Charlie Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk. While speaking to the late Turning Point USA founder’s wife, Minaj continued to surprise attendees by calling Vice President JD Vance an “assassin.” This appeared to be a term of endearment.
“Dear young men, you have amazing role models like our handsome, dashing president,” she declared. “And you have amazing role models like the assassin, JD Vance.”
However, the remark was made a little over three months after Charlie Kirk was assassinated at Utah Valley University.
Just as Minaj realized her remark was a bit inappropriate, Kirk defended her by stating, “Trust me, there’s nothing new under the sun that I have not heard, so you’re fine. You have to laugh about it, truly. This is what’s so beautiful about this moment because if the internet wants to clip it, who cares?”
Erika also said, “I love this woman; she’s an amazing woman, she has a soul and a heart for the Lord, and words are words, but I know her heart, and it doesn’t even matter. And you say what you want to say because I know your heart.”
Nicki Minaj Continues Using X After Instagram Deactivation
Despite deactivating her Instagram, Nicki Minaj is continuing to use her X (formerly Twitter) account.
In one of her most recent posts, Minaj shared photos of her Turning Point USA experience and used an American flag emoji.
Critics were quick to comment on the post, going after the rapper for her involvement with Turning Point USA.
“Nicki officially cares about republicans more than [her fanbase] the barbz,” one critic wrote with a broken heart emoji.
Another critic posted a video of Charlie Kirk slamming Nicki Minaj, stating she wasn’t a good role model for 18-year-olds.
“Charlie talked s— about Nicki and every black entertainer and pilot and female successful person,” the critic claimed. “But now Grifter Erika will polish the knob as she tries to entrench her greedy self into political power.”
