Not only did the famous couple watch Clark in her debut WNBA game, but they also watched her and the Fever take their first “W” of the season. The Fever took on the Los Angeles Sparks at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Friday, May 24.
Kutcher was noticeably wearing Iowa Hawkeye apparel, supporting the university he and Clark attended. Kutcher and Kunis’ son Dimitri also wore a Hawkeyes hoodie.
Following the game, Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, and their children were seen on the court meeting Clark. A video of the interaction between the famous family and Clark showed the couple’s daughter Wyatt becoming emotional over meeting the now WNBA star.
Ashton Kutcher also shared a picture of him high-fiving Clark from the sidelines on his Instagram account. “Props [Cailtin Clark] on W 1,” he wrote in the Instagram post’s caption. “Even Bigger props on being someone to look up to! Take your shot!”
Caitlin Clark Calls Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis’ Children ‘Adorable’ During Postgame Press Conference
Clark also spoke about Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher cheering her on during the game. “Yeah, he thinks he knows ball. I don’t know. We’ll have to play one-on-one. [Ashton is] a fellow Hawkeye,” Clark said during a postgame press conference.
“Somebody that’s been very supportive of me over the course of my college career. He was encouraging me the whole game.”
She also referred to Kunis and Kutcher’s children as “adorable” and said, “I gave [Ashton] a little high five there after I made that first one, but he was encouraging me the whole game. So it’s fun to have him courtside. He’s the man.”
Speaking out the sideline energy, Clark then shared, “The crowd was absolutely amazing, especially there at the end. They were into it, they were invested.”
In regards to her personal reaction to her first WNBA game, Clark added, “I feel like I felt pretty comfortable over the course of the last couple of games, last few games, probably the last three or four. I think just playing with a different energy about myself and confidence.”
“[I] just try to remind myself it’s not all about the scoring. It’s not all about the shots going in. How am I going to impact the game in other ways? And I thought I did a really good job in that area for this team tonight.”
Clark was the No. 1 draft pick earlier this year. Although the Hawkeyes lost in the NCAA Basketball Championship, Clark surpassed Chamique Holdsclaw of Tennessee for the NCAA tournament career scoring record.
She also left the University of Iowa with the most career points (3,951) and three-pointers (548), the second-most triple-doubles (17) and the third-most assists (1,144) in Division I history.
