In her Instagram Story on Tuesday, Feb. 13, Kylie stated she actually refused to watch Super Bowl LVIII due to superstition. “At some point Sunday my superstition kicked in hard,” she stated. “I refused to watch the game, even via the TVs.”
Kylie Kelce further pointed out that she spent most of the big game watching her good friend Sarah King’s reactions, which kept her in the loop. Kelce referred to King as the “real MVP.”
For her part, King shared footage of Kylie facing away from the Super Bowl LVIII coverage. “She wasn’t lyin’, King declared. Kylie noted, “Whoop! There is it.”
Kylie and Jason, who is the brother of Kansas City Chief’s tight end Travis, were present with Taylor Swift at the game. Jason and Travis’ parents, Donna and Ed were also with the group. Celebrities sitting in the suite included Ice Spice, Keleigh Teller, Lana Del Rey, and Blake Lively.
Kylie’s husband Jason was seen rocking a plaid Chiefs-themed overalls with his “Big Yeti” t-shirt. He was also present for the Chiefs Super Bowl after-party wearing a Lucha Libre mask.
Kylie and Jason Kelce Cheered on Travis at the Super Bowl Without Their Three Daughters
Just before the Super Bowl, Kylie Kelce revealed that her and Jason’s three daughters, Elliotte, Bennett, and Wyatt wouldn’t be attending the big game.
“They will be at home,” Kylie told PEOPLE. She also pointed out that she preferred to keep the girls at home as long as Jason wasn’t playing.
“I think it’s a little bit controversial but even during regular season games,” Kylie Kelce continued. “I don’t take the girls to every game. They’re still very young. A stadium with thousands of people can be overwhelming and there’s three of them. It can get hectic, it’s just a lot.”
Kylie then stated that she will be deciding what public events are best for the girls to attend. “I love to do things that set them up for success. The thought of traveling cross-country with them [while] Jason’s going to be super busy, and putting them in maybe a stressful environment, isn’t ideal.”
She went on to add that she and Jason think they will be much happier to see their Uncle Travis on TV because it’ll be easier to see him.
